Hosted Auth Settings

Configure Hosted Auth branding, displayed consent permissions, support links, and domains.

Hosted Auth settings apply to the authentication wizard for the selected Application. Open Configuration → Hosted auth in the Dashboard to edit them. Admins and Owners can manage the settings in all applications; Members can do so in Development.

Customize appearance

In the branding section, set the values you want to show to account owners:

SettingPurpose
Brand nameName displayed in the authentication wizard.
Brand logoURL of a square image used as your application icon.
Browser session tab labelLabel for the UniLogin tab on LinkedIn and Instagram. Leave empty for UniLogin; maximum 20 characters.
Primary colorMain interface color, entered as a six-digit hexadecimal color such as #3bb98b.
ShapesRounded, Rectangular, or Pill controls.
FontThe typeface used by the wizard.

Use the preview to inspect the appearance, then save the branding section. Changes in the preview must be saved to apply to authentication flows.

Choose displayed consent scopes

Under Consent scopes, select the read or manage permissions you want to describe to users before they connect an account. The choices are grouped by Messaging, Users/Contacts/Followers, Posts/Social, Emails, and Calendar. Save that section after changing the selection.

⚠️

These consent scopes are informational only. They do not restrict API access. Use Account Scopes and scoped API keys to isolate accounts, and provider OAuth permissions to control the permissions requested from Google or Microsoft. Selecting read-only wording here does not make a global Account API Key read-only.

Configure support and legal links

In the links section, enter your help, privacy policy, and terms URLs, then save. These links direct account owners to your product's support and legal information from the authentication wizard.

The branding, consent, and links sections are saved separately.

Use your own authentication domain

Follow the domain link in Hosted Auth settings, or open Configuration → Custom domains. Verify your hostname for the organization and enable it for this application, then select that domain when generating an authentication link. See Custom Domains.

Configure an individual authentication link

Application branding is separate from the options of one authentication session. To choose providers, products, proxy settings, per-account OAuth permissions, a Scope, or a return URL, use Advanced Authentication.

To generate the same flow from your backend, see Hosted Authentication.
