Find locations for Instagram posts

Resolve location identifiers before publishing an Instagram post.

Use Search Locations to resolve a place to an Instagram location before creating a post. Select the matching result and use the returned location identifier in the Instagram-specific options documented by Create a Post.

Keep location IDs separate from names and street addresses: a display label is not a provider identifier. Set search_query to search by name. Optional latitude and longitude influence relevance ranking. For example, call GET /v2/{account_id}/instagram/search/locations?search_query=Paris&latitude=48.8566&longitude=2.3522 with your X-API-KEY header. The response is an array of locations with id, source, name, and optional address and coordinates. Check the returned place before publishing. A location found through Instagram is not a LinkedIn or calendar location identifier.

const { data } = await instagramApi.searchLocations({
  path: {
    account_id: "acc_123456789",
  },
  query: {
    search_query: "Paris",
    latitude: 48.8566,
    longitude: 2.3522,
  },
});
data = instagram_api.search_locations(
    account_id='acc_123456789',
    search_query='Paris',
    latitude=48.8566,
    longitude=2.3522,
)
curl --request GET \
  --url "https://api.unipile.com/v2/acc_123456789/instagram/search/locations?search_query=Paris&latitude=48.8566&longitude=2.3522" \
  --header 'X-API-KEY: YOUR_API_KEY'
